A practical guide to building a trustworthy master profile, tailoring a resume, and keeping each application organized.

1. Build one master profile

Start with your name and at least one experience, project, or education entry that includes concrete responsibilities, actions, or outcomes. Internships, freelance work, research, volunteering, and campus leadership all count when they demonstrate what you can do.

Use the Master Profile overview to review every section in one place. Blank optional sections are fine; relevance and evidence matter more than filling every field.

2. Import an existing resume

You can import PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, or pasted text. The original file stays in your browser; extracted text is analyzed into a draft. Review the source evidence, confidence, duplicate warnings, and add/replace/skip choice before saving.

Each account can complete up to five free analyses in a rolling 24-hour window. Extraction failures and service failures do not use an analysis opportunity.

3. Tailor for a real role

Paste the complete job description. Evarlio selects relevant evidence from your profile and creates a focused resume plus an interview-preparation brief. One completed result uses one generation credit; an empty profile is blocked before charging.

The output language follows the job description when it is clear, otherwise it follows your career profile.

4. Review and edit

Treat every AI result as a draft. Check names, dates, metrics, role descriptions, and claims before sending it to an employer. The online Markdown editor keeps the AI original intact, so you can restore it if needed.

Markdown is plain-text formatting: use ## for section headings, ### for role or project headings, - for bullets, **text** for bold, and [label](https://example.com) for links. The editor toolbar can apply these formats for you.

5. Export a PDF

Open the PDF action and use your browser’s print dialog. In Chrome or Edge choose “Save as PDF”; in Safari use the PDF menu; in Firefox choose “Save to PDF.” The page preview shows the final pagination.

Evarlio uses selectable text rather than turning your resume into an image, which keeps it readable by people and most applicant tracking systems.

What does ATS mean?

ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System—the software many employers use to receive, organize, search, and review applications. A clear hierarchy, standard headings, selectable text, and truthful keywords from the job description generally travel better through these systems than elaborate tables or image-heavy layouts.

Evarlio does not claim an invented “ATS score” or guarantee that any system or employer will advance an application.

6. Keep interview context

Each saved resume includes private follow-up notes. Use them for interview rounds, people you met, company context, compensation, open questions, and what to prepare next.
